Im allergic to chocolate too, I used to always eat carob but I haven’t had it for years. I hope these help
CAROB – CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
1 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. butter
1/2 c. honey
4 tbsp. carob powder
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 egg, well beaten
Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Add honey, sift in carob and cocoa powders. Using a wire whisk, blend together, then blend in the vanilla and egg. Sift together the flour and baking powder into the saucepan.
Mix all together (you may add 1-2 teaspoons milk if it seems too thick). Pour into a greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
CAROB BARS
1 c. old fashioned oatmeal
5 tbsp. butter
1 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. carob chips
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. molasses
1/3 c. date sugar
Mix first 3 ingredients and set aside for 10 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients, then add first 3. Put in a 9 x 13 inch pan and sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 cup carob chips over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
CAROB BROWNIES
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. honey
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. carob powder
2/3 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts or sunflower seeds
4 tbsp. plain yogurt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and honey, beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and salt. Sift the carob, baking powder, and flour and stir this into batter. Add nuts and yogurt. Pour into a well oiled (or sprayed) baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Cut while still warm.
sub in the carob for the chocolate in your cookbooks you already have.
Just substitute it in any recipes that call for chocolate, like Toll House Cookies.

INGREDIENTS
* 1/4 cup butter
* 6 tablespoons carob powder
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 2 egg white
* 1 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
2. Melt the butter or margarine over low heat. Pour into large mixing bowl and stir in carob powder, sugar, salt, flour, and vanilla. Mix in egg whites and walnuts. Spread the dough evenly into the baking pan.
3. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before cutting.

* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 3/4 cup water
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/3 cup carob powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
* 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

* 1/3 cup honey
* 1 cup dry milk powder
* 1/4 cup carob powder
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan. Sift together the flour, 1/3 cup carob powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup butter and 2/3 cup of honey until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the banana and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the 3/4 cup water. Stir in chopped walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
4. To make the frosting: In a large bowl, cream 1/4 cup butter and 1/3 cup honey until smooth. Blend in the milk powder, carob powder, 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until smooth and spread on cooled cake.

* 1 cup regular rolled oats
* 2/3 cup almonds
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
* 1/4 cup molasses
* 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
* 1/4 cup unsweetened dried coconut
* 1 cup unsweetened carob chips
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
2. Place oats into the bowl of a food processor. Process until finely chopped. Pour ground oats back into measuring cup, and add more oats to make a full cup. Set aside.
3. Place almonds and vegetable oil into the bowl of a food processor. Process until smooth and paste-like. Scrape almond mixture into a mixing bowl. Add the butter, molasses, turbinado sugar, and egg to the mixing bowl with the nut mixture; beat ingredients together until well blended. Stir in baking soda, oats, whole wheat flour, coconut, and carob chips, and blend thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
4. Bake in preheated oven until tops set and look dry, about 7 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to racks to cool.
